BEFORE THE YO!JAM…

It has been raining the past few days and we only have two days before the youth outdoor activity. The plan is to hike and camp on top of the highest peak in San Mateo, Rizal. Everyone thought that we might not be able to push through with it and we started looking at another option since a number of youth members have already confirmed their presence. I asked tito Boyet, our youth ministry head, for options to consider if it continues to rain… we came up with a plan that instead of camping on top of the mountain, we would just camp around the pool area of his cousin’s resort and still carry on with the program. This may not be as exciting as the initial plan but we know that whatever we do will still be for the glory of God. I checked with weather forecasts and found out that rain showers and thunderstorms will continue for the next couple of days. We asked for intercession from members and we were united again in prayer. A day before the activity, the weather wasn’t as bad as foretold… everyone continued to pray and offered support including those who weren’t able to join the activity.

THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE…

I woke up at 5:30 am., thanks to Lester, our guitarist, who called in and thought that we were leaving early that morning. I got up and started preparing the rest of the materials to be used for the first activity on that day, which I thought would be done in just a few hours. If it wasn’t for Lester, I wouldn’t be able to get it all done since I have to leave early as well to prepare the food at tito Boyet’s house… God has His ways of getting things done.

We gathered and started hiking…it was then that we saw how clear the sky was. All of the activities for the program were carried out and all the members enjoyed it. The group was divided into four tribes and each team was asked to accomplish different goals… first of which is to complete 15 flags on their way to the summit. Each flag contains cut-outs of words and phrases from the bible which they have to decipher in order to complete a verse. They were asked to reflect on the verse which would be shared on the activity that evening. Each tribe was also asked to set up a tent and there were teambuilding games played the rest of the afternoon. Lamps were also made by each tribe using Japanese paper and wooden sticks. The decision on who gets to cook for supper was made by the order of winners… although that was the plan, everybody helped out in preparing the food. The food was blessed and enjoyed by everyone.

Before the night ended, we gathered and lit the lamps… we prayed, worshipped, dance, and sang praises for our awesome God. His presence was felt by everyone … He answered our prayers and strengthened our faith. He showed His power all throughout the day and not a single drop of rain fell from the sky. That day was indeed a miracle!
PRAYER...
We Thank You, Jesus, that faith is not an emotion that we need to work up inside of us. Instead, it is a gift You gave as we commit ourselves to You. Help us to grow in faith. Amen.

.... " Jesus answered and said unto them - Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not. You shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.....And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive..." (Matthew 21:21-22)

Dear Mark, this is pure faith in you. Our Lord is perfectly perpect for He knows perfectly how, when, what, why and where to give what was needed at that time. It was granted because He knows what your heart desires - the hapiness and enjoyment of those who will come.

Dear all, I invite everyone who attended the YO!JJAM (Outdoors) to share the love they witnessed in their very eyes on that special day with our Lord. Please express you encounter here as well, for the inspiration of others.

God bless you Mark, I envy your gift of faith!

... Whoever come to me, and hear my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like :

He is like a man building his house, digged deep, laid the foundation on a rock. When the flood rose, the stream beat vehemently upon the house, and it could not be shaken.

For it is founded upon a rock.

(Luke6:47-48)

Today we were blessed...

Two of our SE members found us again in this site : She Golez(SE3) from Canada and Dinand Enesio(SE1) from UK.

Thank You Lord for giving us this mode of communication and be able to share our love inspite of our distance to one another.

"...and these are likewise the seeds who were sown on good grounds, when they hear the word they immediately receive it, and bringforth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some hundreds" - Mark 4:20.

HJM seeds are indeed on good grounds.

Thank you very much Lord!!!!

Dear all,

As we know now that the father of the Gonzalez brothers is suffering from cancer, let us offer our prayers for him. To express our gratitude that he brought these brothers for us to cherish with, as they are all servants of HJM - Youth Ministry.

Cancer is a very painful disease and the suffering is felt every minute of the day, that one has to endure such pain even at sleep.

May our Lord thru His angels give their father all the comfort he need to ease the pain - all of it, and transform them into hapiness of his heart.

May He give him more wonderful days to spend with his family - to Allan, Mark, Rico and TJ.

Dear Jesus,

We thank You for the Gonzalez family and during this time of their father's sufferings, we all pray for Your intervantion.

Please have mercy on him and grant Your grace of healing - in Your precious name "Jesus" we pray.

Glory be to the father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit!

Dear Lord,
You know my friend so much better than I do. You know his sickness and his need. You also know his heart. Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now, working in his life. Let Your will be done in my friend's life. If there is a sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven, Lord, please help him to see his need and confess. Lord, I pray for my friend because Your Word says I should pray for His healing. I believe You hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of Your promise. I have faith in You to heal my friend, but I also trust in the plan you have for my friend's life. Lord, I don't always understand Your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust You now. May You be glorified in my friend's life and also in mine.
Amen

Our Prayer for Dinand Enesio - SE1

Dear Lord,

We always pray for the success of everyone in this community. We always pray for our brothers and sisters who are pursuing their career, especialy those who exert effort & toil hard to reach their goals in life.

You are the God of all good things - including "SUCCESS", and Your grace is for everyone who asked for it.

Please allow one our brother Dinand Enesio to pass the City & Guild Exam for Electrical Engineers this coming July 19.

Lord, give him enough courage, strength and comprehension on the exam day: that he will arrive in the examination room with a clear mind, understand the questionaires, follow the instructions and put the right answers.

We do not want him to fail on this dear Lord for he is one of us, and his success shall also be ours, and we are Your children.

Stretch forth Your hand upon him and grant him the grace to successfully pass this hurdle.

For we believe and it is written : "Ask, and it shall be given. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened".

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit!!!

In thankfulness we all pray,
SE 1 - including the Shepperd Couple

Our prayer for Sherlie Golez - SE3

Dear Lord,

Keep our dear sister Sherlie safe in her work in Canada. Lead her not into any form of temptation and keep her safe by Your side. Guide her in her decisions and choices, deliver her from harm and danger.

For everyday of self-loneliness, fatigue from work and being far from the family is a daily suffering. Every morning and all through the day is just emptiness.

Dear Lord, lead her to beautiful activities that will redefine her daily routine once in a while. Give her friends that are sincere and will stand by her side in times of need. Provide her the sense of belonging thru the people around - including her employer.

We also pray for her family back here in the Philippines who constantly pray for her safety and wellbeing. May they continue to cherish each other inspite of the distance, for it is indeed a sacrifice to be physically detached from where she belongs.

Give her that ray of hope and confidence that someday, she will be united with her family once again.

May she also find joy in her constant communication with us - the HJM family.

In Jesus name we pray.....

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit!

Sino ba si ate Cheg?

She is one loving sister. Hindi siya masusubukan sa tuwing kailangan mo siya at hindi ka niya iiwanan sa anumang bingit.

With her limitations, she would try to extend her arms to you for some more, reaching out for some more and give some more and serve some more.

For our ate Cheg, our Lord JESUS is telling you: ".....The yoke I will give you is easy and My burden is light - come to Me, and I will give you rest..."

Our prayer for ate Cheg:

Thru the loving intercession of mama Mary, Dear Lord Jesus we pray...

Grant her more STRENGTH, FAITH, JOYFULNESS & HOPE.

That her job be fulfilling and worthy to deal with, her company treat her fairly all the time, always secured and stable. Continue to provide her every need, sustain her daily life and lead her to where she really belongs - one wholesome working environment.

That her family (mom, dad, Tope & Tintin) would continue to grow in love and harmony. Even during trial times, let them stay together as one - ever caring towards one another, in their home full of love. Let them embrace each other, consoling during difficulties & confusions.

That her wishes to have her family of her own be given unto her in due time. We believe she has alot of love to share for her future children, as we saw how she loves the HJM kids.

Take away her doubts on the what is yet to come, her constant worries for others, and her fears of the unknown.

Take care of her dear Jesus and let her find YOU each day in her family, friends, at work and wherever she goes by.

That she will stay as our loving ate Cheg. Let Your will be done upon her...

Glory be to the Father, Son & Holy Spirit!

Amen.

Prayer for Ate Letty........

May she continue to be one humble servant, not seeking recognition and credit for the many things she has done & will do for the community.

May she continue to be meek, praying in silence, loving in silence, serving in silence. She is like a shadow, always there in every HJM activities.

May she continue to be simple, very basic in her needs & wants, very low profile in her contributions, very easy to see the happiness of our Lord.

May she continue to give "on time" service to our Lord, prompt for every call of service, open to what she can do, ready to move & go wherever she is called upon.

May she continue to show forgiveness and mercy to those who offends. Just like she did during the trial times of the community, when there is confussion and disagreement, she would rather pray.

May she continue to do good service for other HJM members to exemplify - truly obedient, gentle and embracing. These are her gifts and she is sharing them to us all the time.

May she continue to take Jesus' way - the ways of mercy & ways of grace.

May our Father in heaven look after ate Letty everyday, take care of her & lead her not to sin.

Dear Lord JESUS, grant ate Letty and her loving mother good health, good graces and good home. We will always pray that Your abundant love be upon them always.

Glory be to the Father, Son & Holy Spirit!
